Home Automation
I've been tinkering with home automation for many years.
Modern Setup
Currently, I use Home Assistant as the central hub for my home automation. It ties together various devices and services.
I also have notes on the Harmony Remote, specifically the Harmony 900, which I've used for controlling entertainment systems.
Historical
In the past, I've used and contributed to several other open source home automation projects:
- MisterHouse - A Perl-based home automation program.
- Asterisk - An open source PBX (Private Branch Exchange) phone system.
- Hikari - Notes on interfacing with the Japanese fiber optic service while I lived in Tokyo.
- MythTV - A digital video recorder (DVR) system.
- ZoneMinder - A video surveillance software system.
These pages contain my old notes and configurations which might still be useful for reference.
